Back in January
comedian T.J. Miller was rumored to be in the race to play an undisclosed role
in director Tim Miller's upcoming Deadpool film. Now according The Hollywood
Reporter the actor has signed to play the undisclosed comic relief. Also
joining the fourth wall breaker is MMA fighter turned actress Gina Carano as
Angel Dust, who in the comics is a mutant outcast living in the streets of
Chicago, better known as Morlocks. Angel Dust is able to increase her
adrenaline levels, temporarily granting her superhuman strength. The addition
of Angel Dust to Deadpool could be another tie-in to the X-Men franchise.
In addition to these
casting news, THR also reports that Colossus will also appear in the film. Daniel
Cudmore played Colossus or Piotr Rasputin in the X-Men franchise since X-2, but
it's unclear whether or not he will be reprising his role.
Starring Ryan Reynolds
in the titular role, Deadpool will hit theaters on February 12, 2016.
