Marion Cotillard Joins Michael Fassbender In Assassin's Creed

Although the jury is still out on what the first good videogame adaptation will be, there are reasons to smile. First we have Moon director Duncan Jones epic Warcraft coming out next year, and now news that Academy Award Winning actress Marion Cotillard has joined Michael Fassbender in the upcoming Assassin's Creed has made me smile from ear to ear.

Deadline reports that the recently Academy Award nominated (Two Days, One Night) actress is reteaming with her Macbeth co-star and director Justin Kurzel's in his first foray into tentpole territory.

We'll find out if her addition means anything to the overall success of the franchise starter when the film hits theaters on December 21, 2016.
