The Night Shift and Lost alum
Ken Leung is joining the expanding cast of Marvel's Inhumans.
The
Inhumans are a race of powerful superhumans with diverse and singularly unique
powers, which were first introduced in the comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in
1965. Since that time, they have grown in prominence and
become some of the most popular and iconic characters in the Marvel
Universe. Marvel’s The Inhumans" will explore the never-before-told epic
adventure of King Black Bolt and the Attilan Royal Family.
Leung will play Karnak, Black
Bolt's cousin and close adviser, who has the ability to see the weakness or
fault in all things - structures, people, plans, idea. He is a philosopher, martial
arts master, and a firm supporter of Black Bolt.
Leung, who is no stranger to
playing super powered characters, having played the mutant Quill in X-Men: The
Last Stand, joins Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, and Serinda Swan as Medusa.
It was previously announced that a version of the first two episodes of the
new ABC series will premiere exclusively in IMAX® theatres for a two-week
window in September 2017, prior to the 8-episode network run.
Leung's acting credits also
include roles on The Good Wife, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Sopranos,
Deception, Rush Hour, The Squid and the Whale, and Spy Game.
