Angel alumna Amy Acker has
joined the cast of Fox's yet untitled X-Men spinoff series.
Written by Matt Nix ("Burn Notice"), who
will also serve as the series showrunner, the yet untitled mutant drama focuses on two ordinary parents forced to go on the run
from a hostile government after discovering that their teen children possess
mutant abilities. The

their right to be.
Acker will play Kate, a woman who is struggling to deal with her divorce
from her husband Reed, played by Stephen Moyer ("True
Blood"), and her challenging teenage children.
In addition to Moyer, Acker will also join Jamie Chung as Blink, Sean Teale as Marcos Diaz, Blair Redford as
Sam, and Natalie Alyn Lind as Lauren.
Also in the show are Emma Dumont as Lorna Dane, a.k.a.
Polaris, a strong-willed and loyal mutant with the ability to control magnetism,
who is the daughter of Magneto, and Percy Hines as Andy, a kid who keeps mostly
to himself as a way to survive school and home.
The Untitled Fox Marvel Project is a

Nix ("Burn Notice") will write the pilot script and act as an
executive producer along with Bryan Singer who will direct the pilot.

Future Past"), Jeph Loeb ("Marvel’s Daredevil," "Marvel’s
Jessica Jones"), Simon Kinberg ("X-Men: Days of Future Past"),
and Jim Chory ("Marvel’s Daredevil," "Marvel’s Jessica
Jones") will also serve as executive producers.
