With Grant Gustin
donning and owning the Flash costume in the popular and well-received
live-action series on The CW, extra measures had to be taken to further distinguish
Ezra Miller's take on the character when he steps into his Flash costume in the DC Movie
Universe.
According to a report
by Den of Geek, it seems that Warner Bros. has decided to give Miller a more "tech-based"
suit for his "tech geek" take on Barry Allen. The change was apparently
made to avoid any comparisons with the burgundy leather suit Colleen Atwood
designed for the series. Furthermore, the report also says that we can expect the
costume to be more "like armor", not unlike what the character wore
in the Injustice: Gods Among Us video game.
The choice in design
fits perfectly well with the rest of what we have seen so far in DC movie
universe, where all the players have ditched their more classic or traditional looks
for something a little more aggressive, like Batman's heavy armored Batsuit, or
Superman's spandex-less costume.
The Flash is scheduled
to hit theaters on March 23, 2018.
