20th Century Fox has released the
first couple of trailers (US and UK) and poster for Paul McGuigan's (Lucky
Number Slevin) upcoming take on Mary Shelley's iconic gothic horror story starring
James McAvoy as the titular Victor Frankenstein, and Daniel Radcliffe as his
assistant Igor.
At Comic-Con the director revealed
that the script by Max Landis (Chronicle) is centered on the relationship
between McAvoy and Radcliffe's characters, and judging by the trailers I would
have to agree.
Opening on November 25, Victor
Frankenstein also stars Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott, and Freddie Fox.
James McAvoy and
Daniel Radcliffe star in a dynamic and thrilling twist on a legendary tale.
Radical scientist Victor Frankenstein (McAvoy) and his equally brilliant
protégé Igor Strausman (Radcliffe) share a noble vision of aiding humanity
through their groundbreaking research into immortality. But Victor’s
experiments go too far, and his obsession has horrifying consequences. Only
Igor can bring his friend back from the brink of madness and save him from his
monstrous creation.
