For the first time in
his entire career, Denzel Washington will reprise a role. Following the surprising
success of The Equalizer, Washington will return for the sequel, which Sony has
scheduled to premiere on September 29, 2017.
The Antoine Fuqua
box-office R-rated hit starred Washington as a former black ops agent that sees
himself being dragged back into action after trouble reaches his neighborhood
and those he cares about.
It's unknown if Fuqua will also return to direct Washington in the sequel.
