Even if slightly
changed, Marvel's studio system type of deal, locks actors to multiple films,
and it has become a race to try and get the scoop on how many films an actor has
left. Well GQ got the exclusive with Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt,
who not only informed us of how many films he's tight to, but also that they
aren't exclusive to that franchise.
"I'm tied to doing three more, or five more, Guardians of the Galaxy or whatever it is, you know, two more Guardians plus another couple...," Pratt
told GQ, who speculate that
it "means he is committed to at least two sequels, as well as spin-off
projects where his character will appear with other Marvel characters."
Assuming that Guardians will go the traditional
trilogy route, this means that we might see who?, I mean Star-Lord and maybe
his A-Hole buddies in Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2, like we have all
been assuming.
The actor had other nuggets of MCU to share, as
according to him he had just got back from a meeting with James Gunn, who
briefed the actor on Guardians of the Galaxy 2. "I
got teary-eyed," Pratt confessed. "He's so f**king smart and peculiar," but didn't reveal any plot details, because he doesn't quite trust Star-Lord. "He
just knows me too well to tell me too much."
Guardians of the Galaxy hits theaters
on May 5, 2017.
