The new trailer for
James Gunn's extremely anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has finally dropped,
and in addition to the spectacular and tantalizing new footage featuring
Marvel's a-holes, it also includes our first glimpse at Kurt Russell's Ego the
Living Planet, who just so happens to be Starlord's (Chris Pratt) father.
Set to the backdrop
of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the
team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The
Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the
mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and
fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as
the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
Blasting into theaters on May 5, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 also stars Vin
Diesel, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Pom
Klementieff, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan,
Tommy Flanagan, and Laura Haddock.
