After a few
stinkers, Ben Affleck is once again at the top of his game thanks to his brilliant
directorial trifecta, Gone Baby Gone in 2007, The Town in 2010, and Argo in
2012, which earned him the Oscar of best picture, screenwriter Chris Terrio won for best adapted screenplay, and William Goldenberg best editing.
But the actor's
rebirth can't be pinned to just to his brilliant directorial efforts. The actor has
been on a spree of great roles, in great movies, by great directors.
The New York
Times recently had the opportunity to chat with writer/director/producer/actor,
about his upcoming film, Gone Girl, directed by David Fincher. During the
interview, which I recommend reading, Affleck spoke about the film, his Hollywood
life, and the upcoming Batman v Superman directed by Zack Snyder and written by
Argo screenwriter, Chris Terrio.
“I’m having a blast,” he
said about the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The actor also said
that the film “is
really unique to the genre and really smart.”
Opening on March 25, 2016, Batman v Superman: Dawn of
Justice stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy
Irons, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey,
Tao Okamoto, Ray Fisher, and Jason Momoa.
