After
the news that seven time winner of the Tour de France, Lance Armstrong admitted
to use doping, Hollywood begun its preparation for the eventual film about the
scandal.
Paramount
and J.J. Abrams were the first to arrive with an adaptation of Juliet Macur
book, Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong. Then it was Warner Bros. with
Jay Roach directing and Scott Z. Burns writing the script, but now apparently director
Stephen Frears and Working Title Pictures are the ones making the leap into
actually begin production on a film about Lance Armstrong revelations.
According
to Deadline, director Stephen Frears is trying to start the production on the
film in this Fall. Frears is currently working on the HBO Muhammad Ali’s
Greatest Fight so Lance Armstrong film should be next on his schedule.
Regarding
Paramount’s and Warner Bros., movement on the both projects seem to have
stalled.
