With
Marvel’s phase 2 underway with Iron Man 3 and with trailers, photos and concept
art from Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The
Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man constantly appearing, we have to say that
Marvel has cornered the big screen angle very well, but how about the small
screen, certainly Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is going to be greenlighted
by ABC, but what can we expect from the show?.
We know that Agent Coulson, played by Clark
Gregg is going to magically reappear and that the story will take place after
the events of The Avengers, but anything else is still a mystery.
EW
recently interviewed Marvel’s president of production, Kevin Feige and asked
him about the possibility of new characters and superheroes using the show like
a platform and the possibility of Robert Downer Jr. making a cameo in it.
Can
we expect new superheroes appearing in the show?
“If
that works the way everyone expects it to work I think that would open up
another avenue, another outlet for some of those characters,” Feige
acknowledes. “Maybe they guest star, I don’t know. I think they’re avoiding the
cameo of the week on that show, which is very smart.”
How about Robert Downey Jr.?
“You
know what? There’s no telling. I am open to everything.”
So
let’s hope the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. gets picked up, if not than the list of
shows that didn’t make it is schedule to arrive in the coming weeks.
