After a disappointing big screen debut in 2010 with
Josh Brolin, Michael Fassbender, Megan Fox, and John Malkovich, Jonah Hex is
ready for a second chance.
According to DC's Legends of Tomorrow executive
producer Marc Guggenheim, Hex will appear in an old west episode of
the show.
"Ever since we decided that
‘Legends’ would involve time travel, we were eager to do a story set in the Old
West," Guggenheim told Variety. "But if you’re going to do a story set in the
DC Universe version of the Old West, you simply MUST include Jonah Hex in it.
We’re thrilled about bringing another well known, beloved DC character to
television."
It is cool to hear that despite
having a big ensemble, which include nine main heroes, Legends of Tomorrow will
try to accommodate other DC Comics characters.
It will be interesting to see who the
showrunner and producers decide to cast for the role. Thomas Jane was at one
point interested in playing the character in the 2010. He even did a makeup test,
but the role ultimately ended up going to Josh Brolin.
Jonah Hex will debut in the 11th
episode of the show, and there is a chance he could become a recurring character.
