Marvel Comics SVP and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort,
and Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso announced a few moments ago at the Midtown
Comics in new York City that the previously announced Battleworld will be the
"melting pot" from which the new Marcel Universe will be born.
According to them it will all
begin in Avengers #44 and New Avengers #33, which will lead into Secret Wars#1,
where both the 616 and Ultimate Universes will collide. All those titles that
were teased a few months back (X-Men'92 | Avengers vs.
X-Men | Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows | Future Imperfect | Age of Apocalypse | Ultimate Universe | Inhumans Attilan Rising | Old Man Logan
| The Infinity Gauntlet | Armor Wars | Years of
Future Past | Age of Ultron Vs. Marvel Zombies
| Planet Hulk | Secret Wars
| Civil War) will play a key role in the formation of the new
universe, and there are more to be announced.
