Ahead of the full trailer on May 15, Fox has released the
first teaser for their X-Men spinoff television series The Gifted.
The
action-adventure family drama tells the story of a suburban couple whose
ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess
mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family
joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
Premiering
on Fox in the 2017-2018 season, The Gifted stars Amy Acker, Stephen Moyer,
Jamie Chung, Emma Dumont, Sean Teale, Coby Bell, Blair Redford, John Proudstar,
Percy Hynes White, and Natalie Alyn Lind.
The
pilot was written by Matt Nix ("Burn Notice"), directed by Bryan
Singer ("X-Men") and executive-produced by Nix, Singer, Lauren Shuler
Donner ("X-Men: Days of Future Past"), Simon Kinberg ("X-Men:
Apocalypse"), Jeph Loeb ("Marvel’s Daredevil") and Jim Chory ("Marvel’s
Jessica Jones").
