Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s
selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince,
to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly
to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened
threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of
heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be
too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Along with a new image from the Zack Snyder epic featuring Ben Affleck as
Batman, Ezra Miller as the Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Gal Gadot as Wonder
Woman, Empire has also unveiled a short statement of the director on Superman's
absence in Justice League.
"Superman does
play a big part in this movie. His presence, and lack of presence, are big
story points…"
Opening in theaters on November 17, Justice League also stars J.K. Simmons,
Jason Momoa, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe,
and Ciarán Hinds.
