Director Shane Black's ("Iron Man 3") The
Nice Guys' breakout star Angourie Rice is joining Spider-Man: Homecoming, a
Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios joint adventure being directed by Cop Car
helmer Jon Watts.
We do not know whom the 15-yeard-old Australian
actress will play, but by looks and age alone it wouldn't be too farfetched to
think she could be playing Gwen Stacy.
Whatever her role may be the young actress joins Tom Holland in the titular role, Robert Downey
Jr. as Iron Man, Michael Keaton as the Vulture, and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May.
The ensemble cast also includes Tony Revolori, Donald
Glover, Martin Starr, Abraham Attah, Zendaya, Logan Marshall-Green, Kenneth
Choi, Michael Barbieri, and Tyne Daly.
Marvel's Kevin Feige and former Sony Pictures head Amy
Pascal are producing.
Spider-Man: Homecoming opens in theaters on July 7, 2017.
