Woody Allen is back
with another look at the entertainment industry with the period comedy Café
Society, the trailer for which has been released and can be seen below.
Set during the 1930's,
Café Society stars Jesse Eisenberg as a young man
from the Bronx who moves to Hollywood to work with his uncle (Steve Carrell). There he falls in love, and
finds himself swept up in the vibrant café society that defined the spirit of
the age.
Café Society will
premiere at the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival, after which Lionsgate Films
and Amazon Studios will release it on August 12. Amazon Studios is also
developing a series with Allen.
