Screenwriters Andrew
Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari have officially boarded Marvel's Ant-Man & The
Wasp, where they will team-up with Paul Rudd and Adam McKay.
According to
Deadline, McKay will break the story with both writers and Rudd, whom will them
pen the script. Barrer and Ferrari worked for six months on Ant-Man rewriting
the script while it was in production but never received official credit for it.
Ant-Man & The
Wasp will be somewhat of a test for Marvel and the quartet of writers because Ant-Man's
foundation was built by Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish, so it will be interesting
to see if they will try and repeat the formula, which led to the worldwide
success of Ant-Man, or if they are going for something completely new.
Barrer and Ferrari
are still relative newcomers, but their credits include a Black List script
titled Die in a Gunfight, and were part of the Transformers writers room, where
they worked on the animated prequel.
