UFC superstar Ronda
Rousey has her next acting gig lined up. According to Variety, Rousey is set to
star in MGM's upcoming reboot of the 1980s Road House, which is set to being
production in 2016.
The 1989 movie
starred Patrick Swayze as a bouncer hired to reform The Double Deuce, a bar in
Missouri, but ends up having to defend the small town from a corrupt
businessman.
Rousey has apparently
reached out to Swayze's widow, Lisa Niemi, to ask her for her blessing before pursuing
the role.
The reboot will be
the fourth project specifically developed for Rousey to star in followed by her
own biopic, My Fight/Your Fight, The Athena Project, and Mile 22.
