After a supporting
role in Sin City, Michael Madsen is diving back into the world of comic book
adaptations with the PlayStation Network original series, Powers, where he will
play SuperShock, a reserved though widely popular hero.
While the first
season of Powers was mostly original, the upcoming second season will adapt the
Who Killed Retro Girl? storyline from the first trade paperback of the comic
created by Brian Michael Bendis, and Michael Avon Oeming.
The series follows the lives of two homicide
detectives, Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) and Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward),
who are assigned to investigate cases involving people with extraordinary
abilities, referred to as Powers.
Powers returns in
2016.
