Coming hot of her performance
opposite Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, Swedish actress
Rebecca Ferguson was reportedly in the mix to play Bella Donna Boudreaux in
20th Century Fox's X-Men spinoff movie Gambit opposite Channing Tatum.
Now however, it seems
that the actress has distanced herself from the project, and is in negotiations
to star alongside Emily Blunt in Tate Taylor's (The Help, Get on Up) adaptation
of Paula Hawkins' novel, The Girl On The Train.
Still
rumored to be up for the role is Spectre's Léa
Seydoux, who is said to have tested with Tatum, and Mad Max: Fury Road's
Abbey Lee.
In the comics, Bella Donna was Gambit's first love interest and
member of the Assassin's Guild, a rival team to Gambit's Thieves Guild.
Gambit opens in theaters on October 7, 2016.
