Update - The
behind-the-scenes photograph of Abrams and Ridley, and the Han and Chewie, and Oscar
Isaac's stills were all previously released.
As part of their Annual Fall Movie Preview, Entertainment Weekly has dedicated the cover and a portion of the issue to J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which will feature a Q&A with the director, and a series of photographs and stills from the highly anticipated movie, which will hit theaters on December 18.
We will have to wait until Friday for the magazine to
come out and read what Abrams had to say about the film, but the images have
already been released and they feature a new look at Kylo Ren (Adam Driver),
General Hux (Domnhall Gleason), Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), Finn (John
Boyega), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), the android pair of C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) and R2D2 (Kenny Baker),
and Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams.
From a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams, Star
Wars: The Force Awakens also stars Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Max von Sydow, Andy
Serkis, Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o, Crystal Clarke, and Pip Andersen.
