On November 20th The Hunger Games
franchise concludes with Mockingjay - Part 2. This last entry will see Katniss (Jennifer
Lawrence) taking what has become a full-scale war to President Snow's (Donald
Sutherland) doorstep of Panem for a final showdown.
Entertainment Weekly recently
caught up with director Francis Lawrence to talk about the film, and he said
that, "there is some serious girl power in this movie, [Suzanne Collins]
wrote it that way, and it’s been so much fun to inhabit." Adding that, "it’s
probably the most emotional of the bunch, and I think it’s the most satisfying
of the bunch."

that Lionsgate as released featuring Katniss and Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) that seems to attest to Lawrence's comments about the emotionality of the movie.

With the nation of Panem in a
full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the
final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale
(Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) – Katniss
goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives
to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly
obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral
choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The
Hunger Games.
