Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper was yet to speak about his role as Rocket Raccoon in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy by James Gunn, until now. The actor recently spoke with collider about what drew him to the project and finding the voice of the character.
"Well, I like James a lot and it really was about
him and then talking to him about the guy. I wasn't familiar with the comic at
all and then I really loved it, and I love that character. He's incredible that
character. You know, one thing we debated was he's seen as a cockney accent
sometimes. So we talked about whether we'd do that or do this sort of other guy
from the city a little bit.”
When asked if they had zero in on the voice for the character,
the actor replied:
“Yeah, we're in the middle of it."
Cooper also spoke in high regards of actress Zoe
Saldana and Chris Pratt:
"Chris Pratt is unbelievable and Zoe is great,
she's always great. Chris Pratt just blew me away. I thought he's just like the
perfect guy."
Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt, Dave
Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Michael Rooker, Ophelia Lovibond, Benicio Del Toro, Lee
Pace, Karen Gillan, Djimon Honsou, Gregg Henry, Glenn Close and John C. Reilly
and opens on August 1st, 2014.
