Actor Eyed To Play The Villain In Batman vs. Superman And Cameos

As of late production on Batman vs. Superman is moving rather quickly. The studio just announced that Fast & Furious star Gal Gadot will be playing the iconic role of Wonder Woman, opposite Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman, and now it seems that the studio has their eyes set on casting the main villain in the film. Despite the provisional title, one can assume that an entire movie of Batman fighting Superman is not really going to happen, unless the Justice League movie, which screenwriter David S. Goyer is also working on as gone out the window, but no, a small skirmish between Bats and Sups, sure why not, but the film needs a real main villain and according to some rumors, the studio is eyeing actor Callan Mulvey.

According to Variety, actor Callan Mulvey is “someone Warner Bros. is eyeing” to play the villain in Batman vs. Superman. The New Zealand actor had a small role in Zero Dark Thirty, but will have a bigger participation in the upcoming 300: Rise of an Empire and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

At this point it’s unknown what villain will go toe to toe with two of DC’s biggest heroes but some rumors are pointing to it being Doomsday, which for those of you that don’t know, was and is till this day the only villain that was able to actually kill Superman, who after a year or so returned of course, DC couldn’t kill the character.

Doomsday’s bio is relatively simple. He is the result of a Kriptonian genetic experiment gone wrong. He is left alone to fend for himself in a harsh environment and after being killed and cloned multiple times the scientist finally got the perfect killing machine. He as an obsession with Superman, who he actually kills.  

As for cameos in the film, well we can assume that there are going to be some, since a Justice League movie will come next in the franchise. Again according to Variety, Flash is “a lock” to appear in some capacity, but it is uncertain to say this character or this character is going to appear, I mean if Snyder and Goyer are going with the first Justice League team then in addition to Bats, Sups, WW and The Flash, there will be Green Lantern, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter, but Cavill recently spoke about Cyborg or Hawkgirl, and speaking of Hawkgirl, there has been a rumor that the main villains or threat in the JL movie would be the Thanagarians, but just a rumor.
