Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures just
announced that they have closed the deals with Ben Foster (3:10 to Yuma), Paula
Patton (M:I Ghost Protocol), Travis Fimmel (Vikings), Rob Kazinsky (Pacific Rim) and Toby Kebbell (The Counselor) to star in writer/director Duncan Jones’ World
of Warcraft movie adaptation. Captain America: The First Avenger actor Dominic
Cooper is also in final negotiations to star. Warcraft is set to start
production in Vancouver this coming January and will be released on March 11,
2016.
At this point there are no actors/characters
association so it’s unclear which actor will be playing which role, what is
known is that “the story of Anduin Lothar versus Durotan, Human and Orc
heroes from the original real-time strategy games.”
