According to the wrestling site,
PWMania, wrestler turned actor Dave Bautista will be having not only a contract
upgrade, but a role as well. According to the site, Marvel Studios is currently
working out on a new deal with the actor, which includes a better paycheck, the
upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, and Avengers 3, where he will have a
significant role.
"Regarding
Batista’s status, Marvel Studios are currently restructuring his contract that
will likely see him get more money due to the success of Guardians of the
Galaxy. This will also lock Batista in for a number of other Marvel movies.
Batista is slated for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 as well as the 3rd Avengers
movie, where he will have a significant role."
As always take it with a grain of
salt, but it's a fact that Marvel signs up their actors with multi-pictures
deals, so it's doubtful that the actor is "restructuring his contract"
for Guardians 2, and Avengers 3, as it is more likely that his contract already
has him tight-up for a few movies within the MCU.
The site also claims that Bautista's
Hollywood "people" don't want him anywhere near a wrestling ring, as
they are afraid that he might get injured and jeopardize any future roles.
