Last week we reported that DC Entertainment
was quietly developing a live-action Supergirl tv show, and that producer Michael
Green was the one pushing for the show. Subsequently reports debunked the idea
of Green's involvement, but added that Arrow and Flash executive producer Greg
Berlanti, and Chuck and No Ordinary Family producer Ali Adler were the ones
behind the project. A later piece of news also revealed that The CW had apparently
filled up their superhero "quota", and had passed on the show.
Now in an interview Berlanti confirms that they
are working on the show, but refutes the news that they have begun pitching to
networks.
“We’re just starting to work on it,” Berlanti
said. “We haven’t gone to the networks yet, so. I’ll be happy, very excited
to talk about it once we know where its home will be and that kind of stuff,
but not at this moment."
Well considering that Berlanti already has a
foot inside The CW, the chances that Kara Zor-El will eventually join Barry
Allen, and Oliver Quinn have risen significantly.
What do you think?
