Actors Brendan Gleeson and Sam Keeley have joined
Chris Hemsworth, Cillian Murphy, Benjamin Walker, Tom Holland and Edward Ashley
on Ron Howard’s upcoming In the Heart of the Sea that tells the story behind
the inspiration for Herman Melvile’s famous book Moby Dick. The real life
disaster happened in 1819, to the ship Essex, when it was rammed by a sperm
whale in the South Pacific, forcing the surviving crew to drift for 90 days in
three small whaleboats. Through those 90 days the crew suffered from diseases
and hunger, which eventually turned them into cannibals
Production on In the Heart of the Sea begins this September.
