It’s
official, M:I 5 is going to happen. Superstar Tom Cruise has officially sign in
with Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions to star and produce the next
film of the franchise.
Although
there isn’t any report on who will be directing and writing it, it’s a safe bet
to assume that Christopher McQuarrie, the writer and director of Jack Reacher,
which also star Tom Cruise will be in line to take the job.
According
to Deadline, Cruise has sign off to do the next installment of the Mission:
Impossible franchise and that a writer and director should be announced shortly
to start working on developing the film alongside Cruise and Bad Robot.
But
don’t expect anything just yet, because Tom Cruise has at least another three
films to do before reaching to Mission: Impossible 5, he has another Jack
Reacher movie coming up, he has the Guy Ritchie’s spy adaptation of The Man
from U.N.C.L.E. opposite Armie Hammer, and he recently attached himself to do
another sci-fi film called Yukikaze. So the schedule for Tom Cruise seems to be
ultra-busy for anything related to the next installment of Mission: Impossible.
