Toby Maguire is
stepping behind the camera for the first time with the feature film adaptation
of Jo Nesbo's best-selling thriller Blood on Snow.
The story centers on
Olav, an assassin living in Oslo, who falls into a deep reflection on love and
death when he is instructed to kill his adulterous wife. Olav then opts to
pursue his boss' rival.
Maguire's Material
and Lawrence Grey's Grey Matter Productions acquired the rights to the 2015 Norwegian
novel, which Nesbo is in of adapting to the big screen.
Material's Matthew
Plouffe is producing the film with Nesbo, his agent and Grey Matter's Ben
Everard executive producing.
