Jason Momoa To Star In Just Cause Movie

Jason Momoa ("Justice League," "Aquaman") has signed on to star in the feature film adaptation of Square Enix's popular video game franchise Just Cause.

Brad Peyton ("San Andreas") is directing from a screenplay by John Collee ("Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World"). Peyton and Momoa worked together on the Netflix series Frontier.

In the game Rico Rodriguez (Momoa in the movie), is an operative for an organization known as the Agency. The movie's plot is under wrap, but it is rumored to deal with Rico's crisis of conscience while on a mission.

Producing Just Cause will be Peyton and Jeff Fierson through their ASAP Entertainment, along with Vertigo Entertainment's Roy Lee, Prime Universe Films' Adrian Askarieh, Supernova Entertainment's Eva Cao, and Mason Xu and Fan Dong from DNA Co. Ltd, a China-based production company that will also finance the movie.

Peyton is ready to go into production on the Dwayne Johnson flick Rampage for New Line. As for Momoa, he will see Aquaman make his DC Expanded Universe debut this year in Zack Snyder's Justice League.
