Gareth
Edwards and Creature Effects Supervisor Neal Scanlan, who also worked on Star
Wars: The Force Awakens, offer a behind-the-scenes peek at the creatures we
will be seeing inhabiting the first Star Wars standalone film Rogue One.
Set in a time of conflict, the
story follows an unlikely group of heroes whom band together on a mission to
steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction.
This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who
choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something
greater than themselves.
Opening in theaters on December 16, Rogue One stars Diego Luna, Felicity
Jones, Alan Tudyk, Mads Mikkelsen, Donnie
Yen, James Earl Jones, Forest Whitaker, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen, Jimmy Smits, Warwick
Davis, Ben Mendelsohn, Jonathan Aris, Alistair Petrie, Guy Henry, and Genevieve
O'Reilly.
