Netflix has released
the first trailer for The Ivory Game, a feature documentary that promises to
take a deep closer look at the dark and sinister underbelly of ivory trafficking
and elephant extinction.
Elephants
are disappearing at the staggering rate of 1 every 15 minutes. Their deaths are
fueled by the illegal ivory trade, a dangerous network of violence and
corruption that a brave and dedicated few are daring to dismantle. The Ivory Game exposes the dark world of ivory trafficking from the
planes of Africa to the streets of China. By working with undercover
intelligence organizations, activists, frontline rangers and conservationists
to infiltrate the corrupt global network of ivory trafficking, the film
inspires both outrage and hope.
Co-directed by
Academy Award nominated director Kief Davidson ("Open Heart") and DGA
nominated director Richard Ladkani ("The Devil's Miner"), and executive
produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, The Ivory Game will be available on Netflix on
November 4.
From executive

crack team of intelligence operatives, undercover activists, passionate
frontline rangers and tough-as-nails conservationists, to infiltrate the
corrupt global network of ivory trafficking. A production from Terra Mater Film
Studios and Vulcan Productions, the film follows poachers in pursuit of the
‘white gold’ of ivory. Ultimately, the film becomes an urgent wakeup call that
proves time is running out for the African elephants, dangerously nearing
closer and closer to extinction.
