Top Gun, Starship
Troopers and Total Recall actor Michael Ironside has joined the second season
of The Flash as Lewis Snart, the father of Leonard and Lisa Snart, aka Captain
Cold and Golden Glider.
According to THR, Lewis
is a "cold-blooded, ruthless career
criminal. Recently released from prison, he returns to Central City with a plan
that will endanger both of his children."
The
character isn't fully explored in the comics, but what is known is that due to
his abusive behavior, Leonard spent his days tagging along his grandfather, who
ran an ice truck, instead of hanging with his father.
Ironside
will appear in the third episode of the new season alongside Wentworth Miller,
and Peyton List.
The
Flash returns on October 6.
