It
sounds like more casting announcements from director Gareth Edwards' Star Wars
spinoff Rogue One may be on the horizon.
He
just heard that Nightcrawler's actor Riz Ahmed was being eyed to play a lead role
opposite Felicity Jones in the film, and now according to The Wrap, Sam Claflin,
who plays Finnick in The Hunger Games, is being eyed to join the galaxy far,
far away.
Scheduled to open on December 16,
2016, Rogue One is set between Episode III and Episode IV, and follows a group of Rebels coming together and infiltrating the
Empire to steal the plans for the first Death Star, the one Luke destroyed
during the trench run battle in A New Hope.
