As
shocking as finding out that the last book of YA series is being split into two
movies, Vin Diesel has announced today during Universal Pictures presentation
at CinemaCon that Furious 8 is getting a tune-up, and will be ready on April
14, 2017.
I
would be more surprise to hear that there weren't any plans for a sequel
especially since the film as somehow managed to gross $1.1 billion at the
box-office in just three weeks.
It
will be interesting to see where the franchise will go now that fellow lead
actor Paul Walker sadly passed away, and whom they will get to helm what will
be a highly anticipated movie. Furious 7 director James Wan has publicly revealed
that making the film was exhausting, and with The Conjuring 2, and possibly
Aquaman on the horizon, it's extremely doubtful he will return.
