Open Road has released
a new still from director Oliver Stone's upcoming Snowden film featuring Joseph
Gordon-Levitt as NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, and Shailene Woodley as his
girlfriend Lindsay Mills.
I'm slightly
apprehensive about the film. The concern stems from Stone's political
inclinations. Can he ride the fine line of partiality and explore both sides of
what makes Snowden such an interesting, and multidimensional individual? Or
will this be a black and white world?
Either way Snowden
boasts an impressive supporting cast that includes Melissa Leo, Tom Wilkinson,
Zachary Quinto, Timothy Olyphant, Rhys Ifans, Timothy Olyphant, Nicholas Cage,
and Joely Richardson.
Still in production,
Snowden is scheduled to premiere on December 25th.
