In a few days, Netflix will release
the entire first season of Marvel's Daredevil. Those with access to the
streaming service will probably binge-watch the whole thing, but after what's
left after the thirteenth episodes? Well according to showrunner Steven S. DeKnight,
The Hand, Bullseye, and Elektra.
"Looking forward, there are so
many stories to tell," said the showrunner. "The Hand, Elektra,
Bullseye… with a 13-episode arc you don’t have to rush it; you can explore.
That’s not to say we are going to do Bullseye and Elektra, but it’s on the
radar."
This
isn't the first time DeKnight spoke of Bullseye. The showrunner had previously
stated that he didn't want "to jam in too many characters" and risk
having the show become a mess, "and
[Bullseye’s] story was told in the last iteration of Daredevil that anybody
saw. My feeling was, ‘Why repeat it?’ And honestly, if you’re looking for a
juicy, multi-faceted crime drama, Wilson Fisk was the obvious choice to play
the antagonist. Bullseye is a little more cut and dry. Not to say you couldn’t
make him fantastic over 13 hours, but Fisk really felt like the right yin to
the yang for Matt, and for what we wanted to do this season."
