New Spoilery Rumors About Suicide Squad

Writer director David Ayer's Suicide Squad won't get up and running until April when the cameras start rolling, so there is still some time to refine things, and cast the characters that need to be cast.

According to Joblo although the search for Tom Hardy's (Rick Flag) replacement is still underway, the studio is also looking to cast someone to play his father Rick Flag Sr., who was rumored awhile back to play an important role in the film. According to them Ed Harris, and Max Martini are "under consideration" for that particular role, while Karl Urban is being looked at to play Flag Jr., despite previous rumors that he was also being considered to play a role in Aquaman.

The site also claims that supervillain The Thinker will also be in Suicide Squad, and that actor Geoffrey Rush was approached by the studio to play the character but passed on the role. Gary Sinise was at one point rumored to be playing General Eiling, but now looks like he will play Lois Lane's father, General Sam Lane, further connecting Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. Joblo adds that Deathstroke will indeed be in the film, and that either Joe Manganiello (who we already knew), and Jason Clarke could end up playing the part, which will be of a "hired assassin that is competing with the Suicide Squad," and not of a bodyguard, or member of the team.

To wrap things up, the site reveals that Jared Leto's Joker and Ben Affleck's Batman already have a long history together at the time of the events of the Suicide Squad.

"The Joker is scarred all over his body because of his battles with Batman, he plays mind games with people and twists [their] minds, [and] everyone is afraid of him." Finally, Cara Delevingne's Enchantress character is said to be "really powerful and instrumental in the film’s prison riot finale" which is being described as "crazy" good.

As always take it one or two grains of salt, but what do you think?
