Last year Warner
Bros. announced that Perks Of Being A Wallflower star Ezra Miller had been cast
as The Flash in their DC Cinematic Universe, but since then not much has been
said. Now, while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at Sundance, the actor
recalled the moment where he knew he had get the role.
"Zack Snyder
told me on the phone that he wanted me to play the Flash while I was eating a
tilapia in a small Central American village. That was definitely a moment that
prompted me to question the fabric of my reality."
It's safe to say that
some fans also questioned the fabric of reality when the announcement was made,
particularly since we had already welcomed the other
Scarlet Speedster, Grant Gustin from The CW's live-action Flash series. My main
issue was never because of Miller's talent, which he has in spades, but because
i had some lingering hope that both the TV and film universes would crossover, which clearly didn't happened.
The Flash standalone
film hits theaters on March 23, 2018, but let's hope we'll see him pop up or
sprint by in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, or in the 2017
Justice League: Part 1.
