Oscar Isaac had an interesting 2014.
The actor just wrapped J.J. Abrams Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and his
currently on the end run of J.C. Chandor's A Most Violent Year, and Alex Garland's Ex_Machina,
promotional tours, after which he says he is "heading to do a head cast [for ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’], which they do
often" in director Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse. "You spend 3-4 hours with them putting plaster
all over your head and they get a sense of what your face is like and what shape your head is, so they can start figuring out the costume and
the makeup and all that stuff, which is pretty fun."
Isaac's also
offered his guess as to how his character (Apocalypse) will look like on
screen. "It’ll be a mix [of
practical and digital]," he said, adding that he hasn't seen the script
"and see what the exact requirements are, but I think it’ll be a mixture
of physical, aided with some robotic technology."
20th Century Fox doesn't really have
a stellar record when it comes to the X-Men costume department (enough with the
leather!), so I'm eager to see what not only Apocalypse will look like but also
the rest of the characters.
