Looper Director To Helm Star Wars: Episode VIII And Write Episode IX

While fans were wondering if J.J. Abrams would stay to helm the new Star Wars trilogy in its entirety, Deadline comes in an announces blows everyone off their feet.

According to them, Disney/Lucasfilm has hired Looper writer/director Rian Johnson to helm Star Wars: Episode VIII and write Episode IX.

Godzilla's director, Gareth Edwards and Chronicle's director, Josh Tranks are set to helm the two of the Star Wars spin-off films.
