Ewan McGregor And Zoe Saldana To Star In Don Cheadle’s Kill the Trumpet Player

Actors Ewan McGregor and Zoe Saldana are currently in negotiations to star in Don Cheadle’s first directorial effort, Kill the Trumpet Player. The Miles Davis project has been in development for quite some time, but according to Cheadle, the film isn’t “a biopic, per se”, meaning:

“It’s a gangster pic. It’s a movie that Miles Davis would have wanted to star in. Without throwing history away, we’re trying to shuffle it and make it more cubist.”

Cheadle will not only direct the film but also star in it as the Jazz Man.
