Now that production is
finally underway on the Tomb Raider reboot, we get our first look at Oscar-winning
actress Alicia Vikander ("The Danish Girl") in the lead role of Lara
Croft, a British aristocrat and archaeologist who often goes on dangerous adventures
searching for ancient, and often times cursed or supernatural artifacts.
Directing this latest movie
based on the iconic video game IP is The Wave's Roar Uthaug.
From
on a script by Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Tomb Raider will center on a young and
inexperienced Lara Croft trying to survive her first big and deadly adventure
while searching for her missing father.
