Stranger Things
breakout star Millie Bobby Brown has secured her first big film project. The
newcomer, who played Eleven in Netflix's smashing hit, is joining Michael
Dougherty's ("Krampus") upcoming Godzilla sequel Godzilla: King of
the Monsters.
Character and plot
details are being kept under wraps for the time being, but from the brief
teaser shown at Comic-Con, Godzilla: King of the Monsters is likely to
introduce such fan favorite monsters as Mothra, Ghidora, or Rodan.
Brown's role on Stranger
Things earned her People's Choice Award, and Screen Actors Guild Awards
nominations.
The project, which
hails from a script penned by Zach Shields, Max Borenstein, and Dougherty, is
part of Legendary's MonsterVerse, which will expand later this year with the
release of Jordan Vogt-Roberts Kong: Skull Island on March 10.
Godzilla: King of the
Monsters opens in theaters on March 22, 2019.
