
Up-and-coming actor Justice Smith, who recently appeared in Paper
Towns and in Baz Lurhmann's Netflix hip-hop series The Get Down, has joined J.A.
Bayona's ("A Monsters Call") Jurassic World sequel.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the
project, which is set to go into production this coming spring in England, will
see Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt reprising their roles as Claire and Owen,
respectively.
Colin Trevorrow, who directed Jurassic World,
penned the script for the sequel along with Derek Connolly.
Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are producing the latest installment in the dino franchise, with Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg
executive producing.
Jurassic World grossed $1.67B worldwide when it
was first released in 2015.
