Meet
the star of Netflix's new series Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, the Emmy
and Tony Award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris, who is playing the dastardly Count
Olaf.
Based
on the acclaimed best-selling books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler), the
series recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans, Violet, Klaus,
and Sunny, whose evil guardian Count Olaf (Harris) will stop at nothing to get
his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn,
foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to
their parents’ mysterious death.

of Unfortunate Events is a Netflix original production, executive produced by
Emmy Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler, and also stars Malina
Weissman (Violet Baudelaire), Louis Hynes (Klaus Baudelaire), Joan Cusack
(Justice Strauss), K. Todd Freeman (Mr. Poe), Aasif Mandavi (Uncle Monty), and
Bernadette Peters (Aunt Josephine).
The eight-episode series premieres January
13, 2017 only the streaming giant.
