Yesterday at San Diego
Comic-Con's Hall H, Marvel Studios head and MCU mastermind Kevin Feige revealed
to those attending a shiny new logo for Ryan Coogler's Black Panther, who was
introduced to fans in spectacular effect in this year's Captain America: Civil
War.
In addition to the new logo,
Feige also confirmed some of the new casting joining Chadwick Boseman in the
highly anticipated film, introducing Michael B. Jordon as
Erik Killmonger, Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia, and Danai Gurira as Okoye.
Killmonger is a powerful
warrior and genius political strategist, who will stop at nothing to defeat the
Black Panther and take his place on the throne.
Nakia is one of T'Challa's many
bodyguards, who fell madly in love with the Wakandian ruler, who didn't
reciprocated the feeling. Love turns to obsession and after an incident
involving the King's then girlfriend, Naki was dismissed of her duties and
joined Killmonger, who restored her back to health and enhanced her physical
stats.
Also one of T'Challa's
bodyguards, Okoye was a friend of Nakia, whose loyalties are put to the
ultimate test when her good friend falls in with Killmonger.
